Robin Rebecca Bassett

Robin Rebecca (South) Bassett, age 62, of Hamilton, MO, passed unexpectedly at her home in Hamilton on Feb. 17, 2019, to go be with her savior. She lived in Hamilton for the past 16 years, previously living in Kidder and Byers, CO.

Robin was born on July 22, 1956, in Leon, IA, to Donald Dean and Norma (Kelley) South. She attended college, worked in the student loan department at Graceland College in Lamoni, IA, and also worked in the past at the American Academy of Environmental Science in Colorado. Robin worked for many years and was a longtime employee in the sales department of F.C. Grace Furniture in Kidder until its closure.

She enjoyed a love for flowers, fishing, and being outdoors.

Robin was a daughter, sister, and mother, and she is survived by her parents; brothers, Floyd and David South; her son, Ira Paul Savely; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Robin married Richard L. Bassett in 2002 and he preceded her in death.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A graveside service and inurnment will be held at a later date at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton for family and friends.
