Ruby Pauline Spainhower

Ruby Pauline Spainhower, age 95, of Ashland, KY, formerly of Kidder, MO, passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, and joined the LORD in Heaven.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1920, and raised in Kidder, where she was a long-time resident until she moved to Kentucky to be with family. Pauline was an active person involved in local civic and political events all her adult life. She was a loving, caring and giving person who cared about the residents of Kidder and the welfare and progress of the town.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Joann; husband, Bernie Luxon Spainhower; parents, Waldo E. Gebhart and Ollie Jane Hinds Gebhart; and special friend, Richard “Bard/Shorty” Bennett.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Spainhower Sammons (Stan) of Ashland, KY; grandchildren, Robert A. Moyer III (Sonia) of Naples, FL, Gwen Ward (Scott) of Columbus, IN, and Matthew Sammons (Shawna) of Lexington, KY; and seven great-grandchildren.

The body has been cremated. A visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, from 11:00 a.m. to noon, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A graveside service will directly follow the visitation at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Online condolences may be left at bramfuneralservices.com.
