Ruth Strickland (Moore)

Ruth Strickland (Moore) passed away on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, quietly in peace at her final home of Newport, Tennessee. 

Ruth was a daughter of Braymer. Born in Iowa City, IA on Mar. 13, 1926. She lived a full and wonderful life married to Charles in 1957 in Chicago, together until his passing in 2013. His remains will be placed with her to remain together till the end of days. 

Along with her long list of school and work history, including a period with the US Army food division to help develop M.R.E’s. and proper meal nutrition. Also, including her work until retirement from Northwestern University Evanston, IL. Her best attribute and that which she was most proud of was that of a loving wife and mother. 

She is survived by daughter Suzanne (Neven), son David, his wife Petra, their children Sean and his wife Emily, and Kara and her husband Nicolas (Judd), and one great-granddaughter Lux (Judd).

A private family burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer.
