Terry L. Cowsert

Terry Lynn Cowsert, age 70, of Braymer, MO, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Kansas University Medical Center. He was born on May 24, 1948, in Braymer, the son of Ervin Lee and LeVona Faye (Beam) Cowsert.  

Terry was a 1966 graduate from the Stet High School. He lived most of his life in the Regal community south of Braymer. He farmed and showed livestock for years in the area. He was a fixture at Orschelns in Richmond, where he worked for 30 years. He was a big supporter of area youth sports and followed all the teams. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Braymer and had served on the Stet School Board.

Terry was united in marriage to Dianne Hatfield of Braymer on Mar. 18, 1966; she survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney (Diana) of Norborne, Ryan (Glenda) of Braymer and Reggie of Norborne; two grandchildren, Lee Cowsert and Jennifer Cowsert; one sister, Janet Carnahan of Warsaw; and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. A visitation will be from noon on Saturday until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Evergreen Cemetery at Braymer. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Quail Forever, and they may be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main, P.
