Viola J. Rhoades

Viola J. Rhoades, age 78, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on June 22, 2018, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton. 

Viola was born on June 2, 1940, in Bosworth, to Ramos and Opal (Lightfoot) Routon. She worked at the Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton, and then worked for Midwest Glove in Hamilton as a packager and retired in 2015.

She married Landon Rhoades in Nebraska on Sept. 18, 1955. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and her son, David.

Survivors include daughters Joyce Diven of Hamilton and Theresa Smith of Richmond; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Thelma Cluck of Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
