William Dale Smith, Jr. (Bill)

William Dale Smith, Jr. (Bill) age of 69 passed away on Feb. 21, 2022. William was born on March 27, 1955, the son of William Dale Smith, Sr. and Shirley Joanne Smith in Victorville, CA at George Air Force Base. He grew up in California and Brookville, PA and was a 1973 Brookville High School graduate. He married Judy Schulz on April 3, 1992, in Topeka, KS. Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gallatin Ward. He served three missions for the Church: at the Independence Missouri Employment Center, in Baton Rouge, LA and at Adam-Ondi-Ahman in Jameson. Bill was always looking to learn something new; he studied everything. He had a very mechanical mind and enjoyed working on vehicles; he enjoyed a challenge.

Bill loved his family more than anything. His parents, siblings, children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were extremely important to him. He
will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Huske, his father, William Dale
Smith, Sr. and his stepmother Jean Weick.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith of Gallatin; children, Christy Hinkson (David) of Logan, UT, Mark Riches (Jennifer) of Cookeville, TN, Wendy Riches of Gallatin, Debby Moon (Scott) of Provo, UT, Roy Huske of Topeka, KS, Troy Smith (Kristi) of Topeka, KS, and Mike Riches (Ally) of Bentonville, AR; his mother, Joanne Chesnutt of Brookville, PA; and siblings, Teresa Bullers (Terry) of Brookville, PA, Robert Smith (Mary) of Brookville, PA, Patricia Gillespie (William) of Randallstown, MD, Tina Zimmerman (Timothy) of Brookville, PA and DeeRose of OH. 34 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and
other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children
Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gallatin. The family will receive friends from one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Services and burial are pending in Brookville, PA under the direction of McKinney d'Argy Funeral Home.
