The Battlefield

Fellow Americans,

Welcome to the battlefield; an unorthodox arena where unlikely allies wage war against their enemies. Welcome to the place where flashpoints lurk behind every corner. Welcome to the 24/7 coverage of violent protests gleefully publicized by every news outlet around. Welcome to the United States of America!

On one side there is a loud group of anarchists. They hate our Constitution and want to “fundamentally transform” America into a totalitarian form of government in which they are the rulers! This group is mainly comprised of Antifa (stands for anti-fascist) and Black Lives Matter. They claim to be fighting for fairness and equality, but a YouTube search will prove otherwise! You may remember their chants calling for the murder of police officers! These are the same people who have been tearing down Civil War statues and calling for the re-naming of city streets, U.S. warships, military bases, and federal buildings! Some are also demanding reparations from white people to black people for the past sins of slavery! I will address these last two points in a future article.

On the other side is a somewhat quieter group of white supremacists. They also hate our Constitution and want to transform America into a totalitarian form of government in which they are the rulers! This group of communists/socialists is mainly comprised of the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis. They claim to be Christians fighting for nationalism, but what they really want is an all-white nation! This group has been around for a very long time and, like the anarchists, use propaganda and violence to attain their goals.

So who does that leave in the middle? Who is in the crossfire? Decent, honest, hardworking folks like you and I who love America and what she stands for! America is the symbol of freedom and liberty throughout the world. America is where everyone runs to, not away from! It is up to us to save America. It is imperative we don’t erase our history; otherwise we won’t be able to teach future generations the truth about what makes America great. By studying the past and learning from our mistakes, we hopefully will not repeat them!
