Polo R-VII announces coaching reassignments

The Polo R-VII school board met on Monday, June 22, and the following actions were taken.
The board approved coaching reassignments and resignations. Greg Keith resigned as assistant varsity softball coach and Mike Arway will be taking his place. Jonathan Pickrell resigned from high school assistant football coach, but was assigned as the junior high assistant football coach. Eric Williams moved up from assistant to head junior high football coach. Kelly Green moved up from head junior high football coach to assistant varsity football coach. Jacob Erdman was hired as an assistant varsity football coach.
The board approved final bus routes.
The board heard a report from Superintendent Don Wilburn that projected end-of –year balances will increase by $55,000. The 2015-2016 budget was approved and will be $45,000 in the black. 
The board approved the bond resolution for the sale of bonds at 2.25%. The board approved the Professional Development Action Plan for next year's Professional Development days. 
The board discussed a school Facebook page for information purposes only, and requested that the elementary principal do some more research for the next meeting. 
The board approved the purchase of a new wrestling mat. 

The board approved the following bids for the 2015/2016 school year: Ray-Carroll Co-op – diesel, gas and propane; Bimbo Bread – bread and buns; Anderson-Erickson – milk; Gimson Pest Control – spraying and pest services; R & W Container – trash service.
