Donna Fay (Sackman) Marley

Donna Fay (Sackman) Marley - age 97 of Polo, MO passed away Saturday morning, January 11, 2025, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Donna was born along with her twin brother, Dean Ray Sackman on June 9, 1927, in Polo to Forrest John and Elizabeth (White) Sackman. Donna and Dean attended a one room grade school through the eighth grade. They graduated from Polo High School in 1945.

Following graduation Donna began a 38 year career with Montgomery Ward in Kansas City. Donna married Loidgene Marley on June 11, 1948 and were married for 53 years until his passing in 2001.
Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband and brother, Dean.  She leaves behind extended family and friends.
She was a christian and had been a member of Knoxville Community Church. Donna also volunteered on the board of directors of the Caldwell County Nutrition Center and delivered meals on wheels  for over 25 years. She was at the nutrition center nearly everyday greeting people and helping with the deposit.  Donna was devoted to her grandparents during their lifetime.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Prairie Ridge Cemetery, west of Polo.  There is no scheduled visitation.
