Pants on Fire
In January 2009, President Barack Hussein Obama gave a 2,391-word inauguration address to a nation hungry for “hope and change.” I recently read the entire transcript, and in the light of hindsight, clearly recognized Obama’s plan. In this article, I will list a few choice quotes from Obama’s teleprompted speech for your reading pleasure!
“…..That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our Nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened…. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many…..” Has Obama effectively fought terrorism? Is our economy better or worse since Obama’s election? Are there more or less jobs now? Is Obamacare cost-effective? Are inner-city public schools successful?
“…..And we will act, not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.” Where are the new jobs, roads, bridges, and electrical grids? More empty promises regarding Obamacare? Was Obama referring to “green energy” companies like the defunct, tax dollar-supported Solyndra? Did the University of Missouri recently transform to meet Obama’s new age?
“.....The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works—whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account—to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day—because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.” Is our self-serving federal government helping or hurting American families? Has ineffective programs ended or has the federal government grown? Finally, the epitome of hypocrisy…. Obama has NEVER been held accountable for any of his illegal, immoral, or illegitimate deeds! Where is the transparency? Where is the trust?
Based solely on his broken promises and habitual abuse of power, I have concluded Obama seeks to destroy America. Actions speak louder than words. What’s your conclusion? Please do your own homework and teach others. May God bless you and the United States of America!
